Artificial Intelligence and the Law

Event

The advent of Artificial Intelligence brings tremendous implications in its potential business and legal applications to many of the processes we manage on a daily basis. Products powered with AI for the legal market have helped improve dramatically the way in which contracts and agreements are reviewed, analyzed, checked, and how information is extracted, reutilized, and reassembled. As a corollary, businesses are affected by all these features and more, and often struggle to keep up with developments.

With Western common law legislative systems closely intertwined, legislative changes in the U.S. can have a ripple effect in the United Kingdom (and vice-versa). The imposition of the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) may very well trigger a U.S. response over the course of the coming years. To understand the current and future impact of AI on the legal industry and business sectors as they work to fulfill their ethical obligations, attorneys and business professionals need to develop an understanding of how AI tools work, as well as the benefits and risks of using AI.

This seminar will provide a functional understanding of AI, comparisons of outlooks in the E.U./U.K. and the United States, and discussions on potential reforms and what the future holds for AI in the legal and business environment.

Who Should Attend?
